“I serve God in the Salvation Army. I have served as a corps officer, a training principal, and head of church work for The Salvation Army Switzerland. Presently, my appointment is secretary for spiritual life development, combined with a very special position: theological and scientific advisor to The Salvation Army at the Territorial Headquarters in Bern.”
Jean-Marc Flückiger Salvation Army Officer, PhD, MTh

History of The Salvation Army
Do you get frustrated each time you look at your book series “The History of The Salvation Army”, because the layout and size of the books have been changed several times over the years?
Print out my covers, Classic design, and treat yourself to an enduring moment of (small) joy. They are downloadable on this site for free. But do not discard the old covers. They have historical value.
Periodic Table of the Salvation Army
I have taken some time to reflect on the identity of The Salvation Army (which is quite complex). If you wonder whether The Salvation Army is a church or a movement, what characterizes the Salvation Army as a social organisation, or what makes the Salvation Army so special, then this Periodic Table will help you. You will discover:
5 Essentials of The Salvation Army
More than 60 elements that make up the essence of The Salvation Army
Specific books, quotes and stories that were my resources. Just click on the interactive Periodic Table to see them appear.
it is fun to use the Table, but I also hope it can be helpful to you.
